What is Sound of Stuttgart?
Sound of Stuttgart (SoS) started in 2018 as a project on Instagram. Initially, the aim of this platform was to create a community for two musical friends to spread their music. With two artists, however, it takes longer to build a community, so more newcomers from the Stuttgart region were sought for this platform. And so Sound of Stuttgart grew bit by bit, so that SoS now has quite a large community.
Musically, SoS is also very broadly positioned. From electro to hip-hop to indie pop, SoS has a lot to offer.
In recent years, the initial goal has expanded somewhat and SoS is now trying to bring Stuttgart back to the centre of the German music scene by supporting the region's newcomers in the best possible way.
What does Sound of Stuttgart offer?
In 2021, SoS received an invitation to set up a stage with its own artists at the "Keep it Sucuk" festival. So a line-up was created for both the Saturday and Sunday of the festival, with 15 different artists performing throughout the weekend.
The response from the artists was positive, which prompted SoS to organise more events with the newcomers in the future.
Sound of Stuttgart also offers music management for newcomers to help them get started.
